Before I became a mother of three kids driving a sensible station wagon with air bags I dreamt of whizzing around on a vespa in the spirit of Roman Holiday. So it was fun to hang with passionate scooter-lovers from the Melbourne Vespa Club and admire their Italian Piaggio Vespas and meet Frank from Vespa House, who nearly 70 years after his father opened it, is still working in the very same workshop (which to be honest is essentially a fully functioning, working museum.)
